Malaysia, a pro-Japanese country
Malaysia is one of the world's most pro-Japanese countries, characterized by its gentle and friendly people. Mahathir Mohamad, who served as Prime Minister for 22 years from 1981 (with a brief return to the position in 2018) and was also known for his pro-Japanese stance, advocated the "Look East Policy," urging his people for many years to emulate Japan and other Eastern countries. Furthermore, official development assistance (ODA) from Japan has advanced the country's infrastructure development, solidifying Malaysia's position as a pro-Japanese nation. Given its gentle and friendly people, Japanese visitors will likely be warmly welcomed.

Medical standards
Furthermore, Malaysia has many hospitals where Japanese is spoken, and its medical standards are high. Many doctors obtain their medical licenses and doctoral degrees from universities in Europe and the United States, and major private hospitals are equipped with the latest medical equipment. As a result, in Malaysia, you can receive high-quality medical care at a more cost-effective price than in other developed countries, and many people visit for medical tours. In addition, in Kuala Lumpur and other cities, there are doctors, nurses, and interpreters who speak Japanese, creating a reassuring environment for Japanese people.

Good safety and security
In terms of security, Malaysia is known as one of the safest countries in Southeast Asia. This is due to factors such as a low poverty rate, near-full employment, political stability, strict drug and gun control, and the government's efforts to welcome foreign tourists. In fact, in the "Global Peace Index" (2021 edition, covering 163 countries and regions) published by the international think tank Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), Malaysia ranked 23rd in the world, receiving a high ranking among major Asian countries, following Singapore (11th) and Japan (12th).
