Successful job interview by ex-HR Director of foreign-capital companies

To succeed in a job interview in English, it is crucial to first understand the skill set required in the job description (JD)
and identify any gaps in your own qualifications. This will help you tailor your responses to match
the required experience and qualities. During the interview, providing logical and concise answers
focused on your "achievements" will increase your chances of success. This seminar will teach you
how to speak from the interviewer’s perspective, rather than simply telling what you want to say.

◆Schedule
17:00-17:25 Seminar

Being a part of the solution, Not a part of the problem

Tourism is one of the world’s most powerful bridges between cultures, communities, and economies—but it also carries responsibility. As professionals in this industry, whether seasoned experts or newcomers, we are uniquely positioned to influence how travelers experience destinations and how local communities are impacted by tourism. This seminar will explore the crucial shift from simply providing tours and services to actively shaping more sustainable, authentic, and respectful travel experiences. By guiding guests toward hidden gems, supporting small local businesses, and encouraging meaningful cultural exchanges, we can reduce the negative effects of over-tourism while creating lasting value for both visitors and hosts. The session will highlight practical examples and easy-to-implement strategies, showing how even small adjustments in our daily operations, communications, and mindset can add up to a significant positive impact. The goal is not perfection, but progress. Everyone can begin by taking one step, no matter how small, to ensure tourism becomes a force for good. Together, we can lead the way in changing the dialogue—away from being part of the problem and toward becoming champions of thoughtful, solution-driven travel.

Daijob Success Stories

Read about how previous Fair participants found the perfect job through the Daijob Career Fair!

Miss Izmin, from Malaysia.

Participant of the Daijob Career Fair in May 2022, and subsequently joined security integrator company Avtel. Currently working as a Service Project Coordinator.

I was pleasantly surprised at the available job opportunities at the Daijob Career Fair.

On the day of the Career Fair, I was looking for a marketing position, and I visited 4 booths. Among these 4 booths were Avtel’s booth, and after they asked me about my work history, they suggested that I apply for the Service Project Coordinator role, which at the time wasn’t available on the Daijob.com site yet. This led to me eventually joining the company, and I realized just how important it is to be able to talk to the recruiting managers face to face for hidden opportunities like this.

The Avtel staff who were at the booth could speak both Japanese and English, and overall it felt like the company had a really global environment and good team play as well, which played a big part in my decision to join the company. I am personally able to communicate in Japanese, but as my personality is a little shy, I was glad to have the opportunity to speak directly to the company staff and get a “real” feel of the company. Everyone has been nothing but kind to me after I joined the company as well, so I am enjoying my work now.
